I read two articles about "Aging", I understood from both articles that it is one of the big problem in Japan now. It is called "Aging Society with a Declining Birthrate". I understood that the average life expectancy is the highest level in the world from the article, "The Wisdom Years". I thought, we can get foods easily, we can enjoy sports, and, medical treatment skills had developed, so the average life expectancy was extended. It is important to enjoy own life to live a long and healthy, but we also must be able to learn new things and cope with change. On the other hand, a birthrate was decreased. I thought that it was occurred by a increase of women who work. It is good for people to live a long and healthy life, but a decreasing birthrate will affect Japan in future.

Question#2: Do you have a sense of your cultural identity? If not, why not? If you do, what has helped you develop it?

I think I have a sense of Japanese culutural identity. My surroundings had helped me to develop it. I was born in Japan, and I went to a kindergarten of a temple. I learnd a lot of Japanese culuture. And, I was especially influenced by "Matsuri-bayashi". It is Japanese traditional music. I'm still participating in its activity. I think this is the one of Japanese cultural identity. In this way, each country has great culture, so  it is important to know each cultural identity.

Question#1: Were you born during the years of the Millennial Generation? Do you consider yourself a Millennial? How are your attitudes similar to or different from those described in the reading as typical of Millennials?

Yes, I am. Because the article says those who were born during 1981-2003 are called Millennial, and I was born in 1993. As time passed, the world certainly became convenient. I grew up with evolution of technologies. For example, Internet, cellphones and so on. It is just when I was an elementary school child. I think it is similar to my attitudes that children do research on the internet and have progressed.
